Act 16 Land Act 1998 (6) Where any case, relating to a land dispute, was pending before a magistrates' court or a local council court prior to the coming into force of this Act, the court shall carry on and complete the case within a period of two years from the date of the coming into force of this Act. (7) On the coming into force of this Act, Local Council Courts and Magistrates' Courts shall cease to deal with new cases related. to land disputes. Repeal and saving. 99. (1) The following enactments are repealed- Cap. 202. (a) the Land Tran sfer Act; Act No. 15 of 1965. (b) the Public Lands (Compensation for Resumption) Act No. 13 of 1969. ( c) the Public Lands Act, 1969; Decree No. (d) the Land Reform Decree. 1975: 3 Of 1975. Statute No. 12of1996. Act, 1965; and ( e) Section 7 of the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Statute, 1996. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Public Lands Act, 1969 by subsection (I) ot this section, any reguianons savea under ·that Act shall continue in force until revoked by regulations made under this Act. 82
