On 04/22/2012 General Criminal Court of Elradmiya convicted the above-mentioned
in accordance to Article 146/A of the Criminal Act 1991 and sentenced her to be
executed by stoning to death, and also ordered to refer the documents to the National
Supreme Court to Uphold the decision after Appeal time ended in 04/23/2012.
Someone who claimed to be the sister of the convict, presented a motion reiterating
that the subject-matter court did not swear in the male defendant, who was released,
and that the female defendant was mentally ill. Furthermore, several lawyers’
afterword, including Ali Filob, Samia Elhashmi, Lubna Musa Elfaki, other female
lawyers, Elfatih Hussein Mohamed Ali, Nasir Mirghani Elbushra and Dr. Ali Eldayed,
appealed, except Nasir, who asked for an examination. Therefore I see accepting the
motions according to article 188 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1991 to assure the
integrity of the procedures and maintain justice. All the motions are concentric around
the court’s failure to explain the velocity of the guilty plea and its meaning to the
defendant. And that the guilty plea taken was not detailed and clear, and since the
crime is punishable by death, therefore the defendant has the right to aide and
disposition of a legal counsel. The subject-matter of the court was ought to make sure
