"domestic relationship" means a relati onship defin ed in secti on 3;
"domestic violence" constitutes any act or omission of a perpetrator
which(a) harms, injures or endangers the health , safety, li fe, limb
or well-bein g, wheth er mental or physical, of the
vi ctim or tends to do so and includes causin g ph ys ical
abuse, sexu a l abu se, emotional , verb al and
psychological abuse and economic abuse;
(b) harasses, harms, injures or endangers the vi ctim with a
view to coercing him or her or an y other perso n related
to him or her to meet any unl awful de mand for any
property or valuabl e sec urity;
(c) has the effect of threatenin g the vic tim or any person
related to the victim by any conduct menti oned in
paragraph (a) or (b); or
(d) otherwise injures or causes harm , whether ph ysica l or
menta l, to the victi m;
"economic abuse" includes(a) depriv ation of all or any economic or fin ancial resources
to which the vi ctim is entitl ed under any law or
custom, whether payable under an order of a court or
otherwi se or which the victim requires out of necessity
includin g, but not limited to-
(i) household necess ities for the victim and hi s or her
children , if any;
(i i) property, jointly or separately owned by the victi m; or
(iii) payment of rent related to the shared househo ld
and mai ntenance ;
