interrogation, the accused acknowledged the sexual intercourse
with the victim, but defended himself by saying that the victim
came to him in his house and asked him to “use” her.
Having reviewed the proceedings of the case, I see that the
conviction is correct. The court, in its punishment memorandum,
stated that it wouldn’t decide the death penalty, as the accused
was under age and with no criminal record, and that is why it
only ruled life imprisonment and a fine.
I agree with the Court of First Instance and uphold the
sentence of life imprisonment to the convict.
