(4) Without limiting the matters to which a court may have regard in determining, for the purpose of subsection (I) (h), whether a person has a close personal relationship with another person , the court shall ha vc regard to (a) the nature and intensity of · the relationship (not necessari Iy a sexual relationship), and 111 particular(i) the amount together; of time the persons spend (ii) the place or places where that time ordinarily spent ; (iii) the manner in which that ti1ne spent; and (b) Meaning of family member. 1s 1s ordinarily the duration of the relationship. 5. (I) For purposes of this Act, 'family member·, means(a) a spouse, estranged spouse or former spouse; (b) a child including an adopted child, a step-child and a foster child; (c) an adult son or daughter; (d) a parent; (e) a sibling; or (f) any other relative of that person who, in the opinion of the court and in the circumstances of the case, should be regarded as a member of the family.
