This law is called the "Civil Transactions Act of 1984" and it is applied in cases that have not have their evidence heard in accordance with the provisions of this law, as well as the lawsuits whose parties agree to invoke its provisions even if they were completed under previous laws or canceled under the provisions of this law.
The following laws shall be repealed from the date of the coming into force of this Law, provided that all regulations, procedures and orders issued under any of them shall remain in force until canceled or amended under the provisions of this Law :
(A) The law restricting the conduct of Sudanese in the territories, 1918
(B) Law on the Disposal of Unplanned Cities and Villages in 1922
(C) The Lost and Stolen Money Recovery Act of 1924
(D) Preemption Act of 1928
(E) The statute of limitations on property gains and prescription for the year 1928
(F) The Unregistered Land Act of 1970
(G) Rent Restrictions Act, 1982
(H) Sales Act 1974 (i) Agency Act 1974
(J) Contracts Act of 1974
(K) Chapter V of the Land Settlement and Registration Act of 1925
