S.L is accused of abducting and raping a minor girl, and thereafter attempting to the take the child to neighboring Cote d'Ivoire. The accused denies the accusations and says the victim is his girlfriend whom he had informed of his plans to travel to Cote d'Ivoire, and that they spent the night together on the even of his travel, and had sex; but that the victim decided to go with him to Cote d'Ivoire, though on their way he got a phone call from his sister, saying the victim's parents were against their union. He claims to have given the victim transport to return home, while he continued to Cote d'Ivoire, but was surprised when he learnt that he had abducted the victim and taken her to Cote d'Ivoire. After examining all arguments, the Court grants the accused the benefit of doubts, and thus acquits him of all charges.
