Summary: David is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl, and is placed in provisional detention by the trial court. He challenges the detention before the High Court. Initially, during preliminary inquiries, he claimed that he had wanted to have sex with the victim, but did not do so. At the High Court, he argues that he did not rape the victim, but had consented sex with her. However, witness testimony attests that the victim had cried for help and reported that she had been raped by the accused, and medical reports also attest of bruises on the victim's sex organ. After examining all arguments and evidence, the High Court maintains the trial court decision.
