In conducting an investigation to shed light on the facts of the cause, police officers took down the statements of the plaintiffs and arrested the Accused; The confessional statement of the plaintiffs shows in substance that O.G.J brought them to Burkina Faso; that she wired money to a lady in Nigeria named Blessing who in turn left them in the custody of a man who drove them to Ouahigouya; that Blessing had told them they would come and work as waitresses in Odion Grace Jennifer’s maquis, but upon arrival, she told them that apart from working as waitress in her maquis “le lingot d’or”, they were also going to work as prostitutes; that after they had finished prostituting themselves throughout the night, they had to give back all the money to O.G.J who claimed they owed her CFA F 1 200 000 (one million two hundred thousand) each; When arrested by the police, O.G.J acknowledged she had received 4 girls from Nigeria through one of her friends; that she first of all inquired about what type of activity they wanted to carry out in Burkina Faso before sending their transport allowance; that she spent CFA F 800 000 (eight hundred thousand) to get each of them to come; that she then asked them to repay her this amount with a CFA F 200,000 (two hundred thousand) surplus for a total amount of CFA F 1,000,000 (one million) each; that apart from working as waitress in her maquis these girls indulged in prostitution; When she appeared before the Legal Department, the State Counsel of Faso at the said court pressed charges of pimping in flagrante delicto against O.G.J pursuant to article 533(22) of the Penal Code; When interrogated by the State Counsel of Faso, O.G.J, simply acknowledged the charges of pimping levied against her; she explained that a lady got Blessing in touch with her from Nigeria, telling her that two girls will come and wok with her; that she sent CFA F 800,000 (eight hundred thousand) as transport for each of these girls except Bedemi Nina whose transport cost CFA F 580,000 (five hundred and eighty thousand); that she asked them to repay those amounts gradually;
